The Senior Association of Golf Enthusiasts (SAGE) is a group of senior
(55+) golfers who have joined together to plan and participate in a fun series of golf tournament events in West Michigan. If you are already a member, we strongly encourage your continued participation. If you are considering joining the group we welcome your interest. We play golf at the best public (and sometimes private) courses in West Michigan. Events are usually on the 3rd Thursday of the month from
May-September. Typically there is a field of 28-40 players for each monthly outing. As a result of the large group of golfers, SAGE can negotiate more reasonable green fee rates for each event. Fees for each event include the fee negotiated with the course and an additional amount for each event (approximately $20) that covers prize money. The prize money will be paid to forty percent of the participants in each event. Players also have an option to participate in a pari-mutual activity to enhance their golfing experience. Participants will be included in a Hole-in-One club that has a payoff for anyone being so fortunate to score an ace during any event. Play is handicapped to provide equal opportunities for all and the game of the day varies each month between individual and team competitions. Events are played according to USGA rules, with special rules for the day established by the committee.
